A place for nature lovers, cyclists, jumpers and beach lovers
Cape Kamenjak is a true Istrian pearl located on the southernmost part of the peninsula. It attracts visitors from all over the world with its untouched natural beauty and wealth. On an area slightly smaller than 400ha, there are various plant and animal species, over 30 beautiful bays, 10 islands and the important island of Porer, on which there is a lighthouse that was built in 1833. Sounds like a fairy tale, doesn’t it?
There is no shortage of plant species on Kamenjak. There are over 600 species, some of which have a very medicinal role and aromatic properties. The orchid has as many as 30 species that you can experience in spring days. The undersea of the cape is also no different from the terrestrial wealth of nature of this protected park.
It is inhabited by various types of plants, animals, fish and shellfish….
How special the cape is is also shown by the information that the Cape Kamenjak has been on the list of protected areas since 1996.
The beaches on Kamenjak are mostly rocky, but between the high rocks there are small coves with pebble entrances to the sea, which is ideal for families with children.

You must visit these places
Safari Bar – a place for good food, wine and Instagram photos
The most popular bar in Kamenjak is exactly this one! – Safari bar. Although it’s a bit harder to get to because it’s at the end of the peninsula, it’s definitely worth it. Exotically decorated among dense greenery, you can play a game of table tennis or try a wide selection of food in separate corners and wooden tables hidden under bamboo houses with a great view of the sea. There are also large swings if you want to have a nice memory. Parking is not a problem because it is right in front of the bar, and it is big enough that you will find a place.
Our recommendation is definitely that after visiting this place, walk another 20 meters from the safari bar, where there is a famous jumping rock from which you can jump into the sea and swim to the cave, which you can only enter from the sea side.
Dinosaur – trail on Kamenjak
Yes, you heard right… on Kamenjak there are over 150 dinosaur footprints approximately 100 million years old, and along the 1.5 km long path there are sculptures in life size that will create real fun for the little ones and is the right place if you want to go back in time.
